De Lage Landen expands into Portugal

Geographical expansion remains high on De Lage Landen's agenda in 2008. De Lage Landen has enlarged its European footprint with the expansion into Portugal. As of April 1st, De Lage Landen is officially operational in this country.

The office, with a team of five members, is located in Paço D'Arcos, just near Portugal's capital Lisbon. The Portugal office starts off with offering standard lease products for Office Equipment, Technology Finance and Cargobull Finance (De Lage Landen's joint venture with Schmitz Cargobull, the leading trailer manufacturer in Europe).

The office already booked its first credit approvals and has sent out several proposals. The first contracts are expected to be booked shortly. Meanwhile the Portugal team is developing its standard products to more specific vendor customized financial services.
