Floor Planning

Floor Planning implies that supplier (manufacturer) inventory is stocked at the dealer but paid and legally owned by De Lage Landen until the dealer pays. The manufacturer pays interest on the consignment invoice during a ‘Free Days’ period. The dealer pays interest on the consignment invoice after the ‘Free Days’ period. The dealer only pays De Lage Landen when he wishes to take legal possession of the good(s), e.g. when he can sell it to an end-user. Floor Planning enables suppliers to provide cost efficient and customer-effective stocking solutions to their dealers (have a look at the sales cycle graph).

Suppliers (Manufacturers and Distributors)
De Lage Landen's Floor Planning offers the ability to have inventory on-hand and ready-for-sale when an end-user is ready to buy, and simultaneously keep a tight reign on cash flow. Suppliers are instantly paid for delivered goods and are enabled to offer added value to their dealers, who are allowed to flexibly stock without affecting their credit lines.

Dealers
Dealers often use demonstration models without actually investing in profitable inventory. With De Lage Landen’s standard Floor Planning solution, inventory from a manufacturer is ‘consigned’ to a dealer but paid and legally owned by De Lage Landen until the dealer pays.
