Anna Naplocha

International Management Trainee 2009, from Poland:

You’re not passionate about leasing? Don’t worry - De Lage Landen is much more than that. My perception of this company has changed dramatically once I decided to apply for the program. De Lage Landen attracted my attention because of its high working standards and open attitude towards ambitious, young people. The International Management Traineeship Program has actually been in place with the company for more than 15 years, so you can make sure that expectations are high, but chances of stimulating your career path are even greater.

Having passed an intensive recruitment process, I was offered a position in the Global Program Management for Food & Agriculture Business Unit. I was relocated to Iowa - the heartland of US agriculture - which facilitates my learning about the industry and, above all, ensures real commercial exposure.

My role is very dynamic and gives me an opportunity to interact and follow the business at different stages, including vendor partnerships origination, sales or portfolio management.

Since De Lage Landen is a global player, I can use my knowledge of foreign languages not only to communicate, but also to benefit from cultural specifics and synergies, trying to generate an added value to my work. Of course, my academic background (Master in International Relations and postgraduate Master in Cooperation and Development) as well as previous international experience, also help me to perform in my current position. Nevertheless, I would say it is all about personality. De Lage Landen is committed to help you make the most of your potential, and therefore, as a management trainee, you will receive a lot of support and attention even from senior positions.
